Juliet

(Explain three moments in the text where Juliet has little control over her own fate)

When Juliets father was making her marry Paris.- Juliet had no control over this as her father was forcing her to marry and there were no other choices for her unless she wants to be banished from her household, her father says “Or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither if you do not marry Paris at Saint Peters church”

When Juliet drinks the vial of poison.- Juliet has no control over what happens with drinking the poison to make her seem dead from the fryer she doesn’t even know what it is. Juliet is scared and keeps thinking about the possible outcomes if this goes wrong will she have to marry tomorrow or will she never wake up.

When Juliet sends her Nurse to deliver her letter to Romeo.- Juliet can’t control how the letter gets to Romeo and can’t do it herself because she can’t be seen out of the house so she sends her Nurse to hand it on.
